VEGA’s IT Architecture Design Consulting Service aims to identify and understand the operating requirements of the customer’s business and the options through which Information Systems can support them.

These are reduced to a consistent set of expressions that may be analysed in a systematic way. This allows the exploration of the linkages between system elements, operational flows and risk factors to produce an IT architecture that is robust, functional and resilient. Requirements Specification – Development of specifications needed to support the procurement, including translation of User Requirement Documents into System Requirement Documents.

System Modelling – Representation of the established infrastructure and the delivery environment.

Gap Analysis – Baseline of current environment and gap analysis to meet the required specification.

System Design – Integration of business processes with applications and data across platforms and technologies. VEGA has particular experience with complex environments and providing interoperability assurance.

Data Management – Design of data conversion, mapping and interface plans and data quality audits. Design of data reporting processes and procedures and design of data storage plans.

Authentication – Ensure that, where relevant, the design and deployment of authentication services is in line with CESG CLAS guidance, including wireless authentication.

Service Orientated Architecture – Representation of an architecture as a network of services using machine-readable language such as UML that communicate through open standards such as XML.
